We do not sell lookup data
OFC does not sell lookup data, barcode searches, label clues, submissions, or support information. Lookup data is used to run the service, improve product coverage, protect quota, and maintain review quality.
Retention table
Ordinary lookups
Use: Barcode or query text, found/not found, source used, result status, and basic Google Analytics 4 site usage may be stored to improve coverage and avoid repeated paid/API lookups.
Retention: Kept only while useful for coverage, reliability, abuse prevention, and quota protection, then aggregated or deleted where practical.
Camera video
Use: Used to read a barcode in the current browser/app session.
Retention: Not stored by OFC.
Optional label photos/OCR
Use: Used as lookup clues for product name, barcode, origin, producer, importer, or manufacturer text.
Retention: Not kept by OFC unless you submit the clues for review. Submitted photos are deleted or archived according to moderation, audit, safety, or abuse-prevention need.
Corrections and submissions
Use: Used for moderation, source checking, correction history, and abuse prevention.
Retention: May be retained internally to preserve dispute, removal, correction, abuse-prevention, or audit history even if a public status changes.
Email for follow-up
Use: Optional. Used only if moderators need clarification.
Retention: Retained with the related submission while follow-up or audit context is needed.
Support payments
Use: Handled by the payment provider. Contributions do not affect listings, corrections, or search results.
Retention: Payment records are controlled by the provider and applicable accounting requirements.
Deletion requests
You can request deletion of a submitted email address or non-public submission details by contacting info@occupation-freechoices.com. OFC may retain limited records when needed for abuse prevention, legal compliance, audit integrity, or correction-history integrity.
