Camera scanning
The camera is used to read barcodes in the browser or app. OFC does not need to store camera video to return a barcode result. Label photos are optional. Browser OCR is used as a lookup clue for product name, barcode, origin, producer, or importer text. OCR text is not verified evidence or ethical clearance.
Camera blocked
Camera access was denied or blocked by the browser. Allow camera access for this site, then start the scanner again. No usable camera was found. Manual barcode entry still works. No readable barcode yet. Hold the code flat, fill the frame, improve light, avoid glare, or enter the number manually. Camera scanner could not start or the barcode stayed unreadable. Manual barcode entry still works.
Optional label photos
Add front, back, barcode, or maker-block photos when the barcode result is thin.
Photo privacy: use label-only images. Avoid uploading faces, receipts, addresses, payment details, or other personal information.
